If they were not married, they would have to show that they had lived together in a relationship like marriage for two years before they made their application. So what are the rules around marriage and civil partnerships?
The UK has opened a new youth mobility scheme for young Indian nationals enabling them to live in the UK for up to two years, if aged between 18 and 30.
Ancestry visas are available to people with certain types of British citizenship, Commonwealth citizens and citizens of Zimbabwe. However, you must show that you have grandparents born in specific places. Find out more.
